Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies Romania started the works of rehabilitation and upgrading of the drinking water treatment plant in the municipality of Mioveni, site of the Dacia factory in Romania.
The contract is the first phase of an overall project that will ultimately cover the following:
- Rapid sand filters
- Aluminum sulphate preparation and dosing unit
- Reagent treatment station (lime, acid, polymer)
- Chlorination plant
- Caustic soda preparation and dosing unit
- Mixing chamber
- Raw water flow measurement and coagulation tanks
- Automation and control system SCADA
The first phase lasted 10 months and includes the following:
- on-line measurement of turbidity, temperature, pH and NH4 at plant inlet,
- polymer preparation and dosing unit,
- chlorination plant.
Once fully rehabilitated, the plant will have a production capacity of 2,376 m3/h in order to supply drinking water to the Dacia factory and to the town Mioveni.
