The Crivina treatment plant was originally constructed with a capacity of 3 m³/s and a spare capacity up to 6 m³/s. It was a part of an overall plan including Rosu treatment plant, a dam and storage reservoir on Arges River and a raw water aqueduct between the dam and Crivina plant.
